Airfix, 1/48 Finished at last. This has been a glacial build (4 months) by my normal standards, but I really wanted to take care over this one, and I think the results are worth it. Indeed, if I had the space, I would build another one tomorrow!!!! Academy 1/72. The Stryker is a wheeled armoured infantry vehicle in US service. It is based on the Canadian LAV series of vehicles, which in turn are based on the widely used Swiss Mowag Piranha vehicle. Another fun build alongside the Sea Vixen! Academy and Trumpeter have both produced 1/72 Stryker kits and there doesn't seem to be much between them. As with all recent Academy kits, this one fits together easily (standfast the rather fiddly axles) and seems (to me at least) to be accurate.
